Harkness Discussion #2

How did we support quieter people during the discussion? We encouraged the quieter people to help discuss by actively including them in the discussion i.e asking them questions and engaging them. 2. How did we support the more talkative people in the group? We discussed with them but gently intervened if someone else wanted to speak. we did not really have a few people dominating but the moderators. We did ask the not as talkative people 3. What is the timestamp of our best moment of discussion, and why? 1:03 because everyone was contributing and there was a lively discussion. 4. What is our main goal for our next discussion?

Litspiration Challenge #1

For Our first litspiration challenge we were asked to create a setting based travel brochure or map explaining the Opium, in the house of the scorpion. Our group decided to do a travel brochure. We included some specific setting examples, how the setting helps drive the narrative, Places to go and places not to go in the opium. We added pictures to help explain the setting and give you an idea of what the setting is that we are talking about.

Harkness discussion #1

How did we support quieter people during the discussion?
We encouraged them to talk by getting the moderators to ask them about their opinions and by asking them questions.

How did we support the most talkative people in the group?
While we didn't do a great job, we did try and find opportunities to divert them to the quieter people and initiate a mini-discussion with them.

What is the timestamp of our best moment of discussion, and why?
When we talked about the theme of family and this happened from four minutes and thirty seconds till the end.
What is our main goal for our next discussion?
Our next goal was to go more in depth in our questions and also include Joel or Aryan a little more .
